Why is SupplyTrax WM being replaced?
Many of you have requested new features, and, rather than updating our existing SupplyTrax Warehouse Management System (WMS), we took the opportunity to build a more advanced, user-friendly solution from the ground up.
Will I be required to migrate to UWS?
Yes. All customers will eventually migrate to UWS, which includes a new mobile app and website. During the transition, you may use both the current WMS app and the new UWS app at the same time (if needed). Once all customers have successfully migrated, the existing SupplyTrax WM system is retired. Our goal is to complete all migrations by the end of calendar year 2025.
What’s new in UWS?
- Simplified logins: One login for everything with enhanced security — no more password cards!
- Instant inventory Search: Find inventory, locations and on-hand quantities in real time.
- Reel tracking: Better wire and cable inventory tracking to prevent shortages and reduce costs.
- Improved data validation: Fewer errors and smoother transaction submissions to iVUE.
- Smarter product search: Search by item number or description, even without a barcode.
- Transaction history: View up to seven days of past transactions directly from your device.
- User customization: Greater flexibility to manage users, with the option to assign admin rights internally.
Is anything new beyond barcoding functions?
We are introducing our Border States Integration capabilities with UWS. When you buy material from Border States, we can integrate the following transactions with iVUE, providing efficiencies throughout the purchasing process:
- Automate purchase orders between SAP and your iVUE system using push or pull methods.
- Receiving data is sent from Border States to iVUE.
- Invoices sent from Border States to iVUE.
- Optional charge out automation for project orders.
Will users be timed out of the app after inactivity?
Yes. Users will be automatically signed out after seven days of inactivity. After that you will be required to log in again.
Can someone be signed into the app on multiple devices?
Yes. You can be signed into the app on multiple devices at the same time with no limit.
Tentative release schedule
- Beta and Pilot launch (mid-June to mid-August): Pre-release validation with a small group of early adopters.
- Version 1* release (targeting mid-August): General release available to all who signed up for access.
- Version 2 release (targeting early October): To complete migration for remaining customers.
*If you rely on the Download Work Order and web portal review/submit features, you will need to wait for Version 2 before fully migrating.
When can I transition to UWS?
You should have received an email asking you to indicate your preferred timing for transitioning to the new UWS system. If you did not respond to that message, you’ve been tentatively scheduled for the version 2.
Do I need to upgrade my NISC iVUE system for UWS?
No. The existing connection we have with your system will continue to work.
Will all current functionalities be available in Version 1?
We have worked hard to include as many key features as possible in Version 1. However, Download Work Order functionality and the ability to review and submit orders via the website will not be available in this initial release. If your workflow depends heavily on these features, we recommend waiting to fully transition until Version 2, when these capabilities will be included.
How will training and support be administered?
We want to make your transition seamless! Training will be delivered through online video tutorials and live sessions, where you can ask questions in real time. Videos will cover:
- Navigating the home screen.
- Creating and managing transactions.
- Exploring new website features, like transaction history.
We’ll also hold weekly customer support calls to answer your questions and ensure a smooth rollout.
What can I be doing to prepare for the migration?
Review your user list (shared via email) to help us identify who needs access to UWS. We’ll assist with user setup and assign training as needed. We also ask that you help communicate this change to all UWS users within your company.
