Border States’ Billings, MT, team quickly helped Big Flat Electric after a storm.

When a recent snow storm damaged a portion of Big Flat Electric Cooperative’s power pole infrastructure, Border States employee-owners jumped into action.

Upon hearing that snow and strong winds had destroyed approximately 100 poles and 140 cross arms, employee-owners in Billings, MT, prepared replacement materials immediately, helping the co-op restore power to those at the end of the line.

Big Flat Electric says thank you

“On behalf of Big Flat Electric, I would like to thank Border States in Billings for quick service during our recent storm.

Ten years ago, I had a very serious injury and Border States was very kind to me personally. Two weeks ago, we had a nasty snow and wind storm that destroyed approximately 100 poles and 140 cross arms.

With the first call to Don to get the ball rolling, the material was a success. From the inside sales people (Don, Keith, Alex, Jackie and the receptionist, Rene), to the warehouse picking people (I don’t have any names, but wish I did), to the drivers (sorry about interrupting your vacation).

You people made my job a whole lot easier. Your service was above and beyond normal. My hat is off to each and every one you. You all should be proud of the job that you did. With your help, power was restored to some very happy consumers. Thanks again.

Rick Starkey”
