The Challenge
The facility had previously worked with multiple distributors and had experience with inventory programs that followed a “set it and forget it” approach. Over time, this led to unfilled bins, inconsistent replenishment, and plant personnel having to spend time managing inventory issues instead of focusing on maintenance and operations.
As confidence in a vendor-managed inventory model declined, internal teams were left reacting to material shortages and managing inventory gaps. The Solution
A Vendor Managed Inventory program was implemented to support PVF maintenance materials used throughout the facility, including fittings, valves, nipples, and other commonly used maintenance items.

Inventory is reviewed regularly and replenished on a consistent schedule, with support from the local branch team, warehouse, and delivery drivers who help maintain inventory levels and organization.
Over time, the program grew into a fully managed inventory solution supporting daily maintenance operations across the facility.
