Branch Support Center 1Border States broke ground on a 120,000-square-foot corporate headquarters building at the intersection of I-29 and I-94 today in Fargo, ND.

The new Branch Support Center will replace the existing corporate office, bringing approximately 350 employee-owners scattered across three locations into one building. These professionals help support more than 90 branch locations across 18 states.

The Border States design team weighed needs with their budget, maximizing every dollar spent to create a workplace that will enhance collaboration and productivity, portray the company brand, and enhance recruiting. The three-story building will have capacity for 540 employee-owners, giving Border States room for anticipated growth.

The company employs approximately 2,300 employee-owners and is the seventh largest electrical distributor in the U.S., as ranked by Electrical Wholesaling magazine. The company plans to acquire Kriz-Davis, Co., headquartered in Grand Island, NE, on Aug. 28, which will add 19 branches and 250 employee owners.
