Rockwell Automation, Centerline 2100 MCC’s With Maintenance Mode Main Breakers

Problem * Protecting personal from Arcflash hazards.
Solution * Rockwell MCC’s are now shipping with LSIG-MM trip units on all MCC’s with main circuit breakers 1200 amp

frame and above.

For personnel safety, maintenance mode trip units provide a second instantaneous trip setting that is intended to shorten any intentional delay and reduce incident energy levels when the feature is initiated.

Benefits of Maintenance Mode:
Required by the NEC 240.87
– States that an arc energy reduction method to reduce clearing times must be in place
– Potential downtime reduction
– PPE requirements will typically be reduced

M-Frame (800A) and K-Frame (400A) will be available in Spring 2018
